Global Week for Action on NCDs

The Global Week for Action on NCDs is our yearly campaign to unite the NCD movement under a specific theme, concentrating our combined efforts with the aim of reducing the NCD burden globally and increasing health and equality.

We mobilise and coordinate the NCD community

The Global Week for Action on NCDs calls on everyone to get involved—no action is too small; no voice is insignificant.

By collaborating across countries, sectors, thematic areas, we aim to reduce preventable deaths and illnesses and promote health equity worldwide.

In the run-up to the 4th High-Level Meeting on NCDs happening in September 2025, the campaign is organising around a yearly theme, highlighting critical areas where immediate action can make a difference.

In 2024-2025, it's Time to Lead.

Time to Lead Campaign

The 2024-2025 campaign calls for bold and inclusive leadership in the two-year run up to the 4th UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs (HLM4) in September 2025.

We’re calling on all leaders to:

  • Accelerate implementation—Fast-track national NCD policies for a healthier, more equitable future.
  • Break down siloes—Foster collaboration across sectors to strengthen global health outcomes.
  • Mobilise investment—Align funding with the scale of the NCD challenge.
  • Deliver accountability—Track progress and stay true to promises made.
  • Engage communities—Place those living with NCDs at the heart of the response.
