CLAS is a coalition that brings together more than 200 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) of America with the aim of preventing and controlling Non-communicable Diseases (ENT) in the region. These are heart and cerebrovascular diseases, cancers, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, and mental disorders.

Founded in March 2011, our objective is to strengthen civil society's action to prevent and control these diseases through political advocacy, education, awareness-raising and research, at the national and regional levels, to implement effective policies, in line with the objectives of the United Nations (UN), the World Health Organization (WHO) and its regional office, the Pan American Health Organization (PAS), and the NCD Alliance.
