HLM4 Political Declaration – read our response

An updated policy brief welcomes important targets with a more ambitious approach to mental health, air pollution, access to medicines and the inclusion of a wider array of diseases, but also draws attention to significant shortcomings: diluted fiscal commitments, weakened preventive measures to counter health-harming industries, and reduced recognition of civil society participation, including people living with NCDs.

Our priorities remain clear—governments must pursue bolder, more inclusive, and better-financed policies if global goals on NCDs and universal health coverage are to be met by 2030.
