The India Advocacy Agenda of People Living with NCDs was developed through a consultative process led by the Healthy India Alliance, involving community conversations, regional consultations, and civil society engagement.

Insights from 49 people living with NCDs in 2017 and four regional consultations in 2018, with 82 people living with NCDs and 43 civil society organizations, informed the Agenda’s priorities. It highlights four key advocacy areas: Human Rights & Social Justice; Prevention; Treatment, Care, and Support; and Meaningful Involvement. Launched at the 3rd annual national civil society consultation on NCDs, the Agenda has strengthened national and regional networks of people living with NCDs and continues to influence India’s health policies, including during the COVID-19 pandemic.
